Akintunde Akinmolayan is an Agribusiness professional who holds a B.Agric (Crop Protection) and M.Agric (Agricultural Economics and Farm Management) from the prestigious Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State. He is a doctoral student of Gender and Development Studies with the Centre for Gender, Humanitarian and Development Studies of the Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State.
Akintunde has over seventeen years of diverse work experience in the corporate world, public sector, and the NGO. He is the founder and Executive Director of Wellness Africa Foundation, a development-oriented non-profit organisation providing strategic interventions in health and agriculture sectors. He is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Ondo Youth and Women Agribusiness Network Ltd/Gte.
Appointed as a Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Agriculture between 2017 and 2019, Akintunde worked with development partners and multilateral institutions, including World Bank and FAO, engaged in the conceptualisation and implementation of various projects, and got first-hand exposure to the workings of government at that high policy level.
