Oluwasina Gbenga Olabanji holds a Ph.D. in Agronomy from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaira and is an expert agronomist in cereal crops especially wheat, millet and barley, and currently the Team Leader of wheat value chain in Nigeria.
Dr. Oluwasina Olabanji was the former Executive Director of Lake Chad Research Institute, Maiduguri (2012-2017) with excellent working relationship with Scientists from National Agricultural Research Institutes (NARIs) and Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). He is a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Administrators and Researchers of Nigeria and has won many awards including Professional Career Excellence and Outstanding Leadership by NUBOSS, ABU Zaria.
Upon retirement from the Lake Chad Research Institute, Dr Olabanji engaged himself with consultancy projects with the Flour Milling Association of Nigeria (FMAN), Central Bank of Nigeria (Anchour Borrower Programme) and the African Development Bank on the Wheat value chain. A prolific writer, Dr Olabanji has 4 published chapters in books and has over 20 published journal articles in both local and international journals.
